A Note on Japanese Names

All Japanese personal names are rendered in Japanese order, namely, surname followed by given name. Thus, the surname of Mineta Fūkō, editor of Kaigai Shinwa, is Mineta. The surname of the scholar Masuda Wataru, cited below, is Masuda.
